Barro negro is a traditional vessel used for enjoying Mezcal.  This Mezcal "shot glass" - known locally as a "Mezcalero" is ideal for sipping delicious Mezcal. When Doña Rosa, a ceramic artist from San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico, developed the method for creating glossy black barro negro pottery in the 1950's, it quickly gained popularity among tourists and collectors.
